Volunteer
A championship runs on the people who give their week to it. Volunteer roles at Waiʻalae will cover every part of the tournament, from the first tee to the last putt.
Welcome
Aloha Sony Championship Hawaiʻi Volunteers,
On behalf of your tournament team, I want to take a moment to extend a big Mahalo (thank you) for your commitment and dedication to the Sony Championship Hawaiʻi. Your passion and hard work are essential to the success of this tournament and we thank you.
Whether this is your first-year volunteering or you have volunteered in the past, your contribution is invaluable. Looking forward to seeing you in January!

Committees
Admissions
The Admissions Committee is the welcoming face of the Sony Championship Hawaiʻi. Volunteers will verify admission credentials, sell and scan tickets, and provide general tournament information to spectators as they arrive. Volunteers will manage the tournaments Will Call and Lost & Found items.
Gallery Management
Gallery Management Ambassadors are given a unique inside and outside the ropes tournament experience. They are responsible for managing gallery noise and traffic; ensuring the safety of our guests by reinforcing health and safety policies; leading by example; and providing a world class guest experience. Gallery Management Ambassadors are assigned to the teeing area, fairway and green of a specific hole (1 – 18), or to high traffic areas such as practice locations, cross walks, and hospitality areas.
Parking
Parking volunteers assist with parking for volunteers, pros, caddies, sponsors, VIPs, media and the general public. Parking volunteers operate and control proper access and flow to all parking areas, help with traffic control and facilitate loading passenger shuttles. They also assist with informing spectators of the PGA Tour bag policy and prohibited items, check parking passes and credentials, and direct guests to appropriate parking lots. May require periods of standing and outdoor elements.
Standard Bearers
Standard Bearers are responsible for carrying a standard (displaying the names and scores for each professional in each group) on the course for an entire round. Physically demanding; volunteers must be able to walk 18 holes and carry a standard (at least 5-6 pounds) for an entire round. Must be knowledgeable in golf etiquette. Golf knowledge is helpful.
Volunteer Pool
If you would like to experience volunteering in different areas throughout the week, join Volunteer Pool!
